PRACTICAL FIRST AID SKILLS AND BENEFITS

12-hour educational course

The 12-hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course is for any interested adult.

You will learn how to assist an adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.

This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace Blended

Followed By

A half day face-to-face training which allows participants the opportunity to revise and consolidate skills in a group environment, and to address mental health problems in the workplace in more depth.
The course content is tailored to the workplace setting using case-studies, videos and resources tailored to their learning needs.

4 hours or 2 Full days.

The Standard MHFA Refresher Course

4 hour face-to-face course

To participate in this course you need to have completed the full 2 day course of Standard MHFA which gives you 3 years accreditation. To maintain currency of accreditation, a Mental Health First Aid  Refresher now has to be completed within this 3 year period.

If you are not sure of the date you completed the original Std MHFA 2 day course you can email MHFA A and they will check your accreditation on their database.
